National Reference Network by unified datum have to be fixed to perform the Cadastral re-examination. but in conventional surveying method, it requires a lot of time and expense for the examination and re-arrangement of reference network, and also it is difficult to get the superior accuracy. so it is desirable to use GPS satellite surveying which can determine 3D positioning in a short time.
However, it is not effective to perform GPS satellite surveying at the city urban area where there are lots of people and telegraph posts. Most of cadastral supplementary control stations are on the city urban area. so GPS have to be combined with TS(Total Station) for effective use which is very useful at narrow area, market, etc. In this study, First, took the WGS-84 geocentric and geographic coordinates of stations, distance and horizontal angle between stations with GPS techniques and TS(Total Station) to upgrade accuracy of Cadastral surveying. and then the results by two surveying instrument were compared.
The errors were 0.30m, 0.01~0.15m, and 3.98" in the distance, height, and horizontal angle between stations. Expecially, distance errors were large because GPS receiver can't receive signal well and track a lot of satellite enough to take a excellent accuracy due to the high voltage of telegraph post near the cadastral supplementary control stations. In this regions, positioning analysis of GPS/TS for the upgrading accuracy of Cadastral surveying was necessary because GPS results were worse than those of TS(Total Station). It is expected that this method will contribute to the development of a various GPS applications, the combination of GPS/GIS, and the diffusion of satellite surveying.
