초록
Against the background of rapid urbanization and territorial spatial ecological restoration, Zhengzhou is facing overlapping problems, including the expansion of construction land, fragmentation of ecological space, declining landscape connectivity, and increasing demand for blue green spatial coordination.
As the core city of the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration, Zhengzhou has a composite mountain, river, city, and farmland spatial structure formed by the southwestern mountainous and hilly ecological spaces, the northern Yellow River ecological belt and associated wetlands and forest lands, the agricultural matrix of the eastern plain, and the high-intensity construction space of the central urban area. Within this composite spatial context, this study focuses on how to identify, evaluate, and apply the ecological corridor system to planning optimization.
Ecological corridor system identification is taken as the main research line, and ecological spatial pattern diagnosis, ecological source patch identification, potential ecological corridor extraction, key node identification, corridor width scenario interpretation, and water system proximity analysis are integrated into a continuous planning-support process. Based on land use data from 2000, 2010, 2020, and 2025, this study integrates multi-source spatial data, including NDVI, DEM, road networks, water system data, and administrative boundaries.
The methods include land use dynamic degree analysis, land use transfer matrix analysis, landscape pattern indices, ecosystem service value assessment, ESV hot and cold spot analysis, ArcHydro hydrological analysis, MSPA, dIIC-based landscape connectivity evaluation, construction of the composite ecological resistance surface, the MCR model, least-cost path analysis, circuit theory, and GIS spatial overlay analysis.
On the basis of potential ecological corridor extraction, corridor width scenario interpretation and proximity analysis between ecological corridors and water system elements are further conducted to deepen the planning interpretation of corridor spatial management, blue green spatial coordination, and type-specific optimization strategies. The results show that the land use structure of Zhengzhou changed significantly from 2000 to 2025. Construction land increased from 844.70 km² to 2,074.37 km², while cultivated land decreased from 5,070.23 km² to 4,219.88 km².
The landscape pattern was characterized by intensified fragmentation, increased edge density, strengthened shape complexity, and a higher degree of land use mixing. The total ecosystem service value decreased from 71.44 × 10⁸ yuan in 2000 to 62.08 × 10⁸ yuan in 2025. High ESV areas and ESV hot spots were mainly concentrated in the southwestern mountainous and hilly areas and in the wetlands and forest lands along the northern Yellow River, whereas low ESV areas and cold-spot clusters were mainly distributed in the central built-up area and construction expansion areas.
Water system analysis indicates that the water system space of Zhengzhou presents a spatial organization composed of the southwestern mountainous and hilly headwater zone, the central urban transitional convergence zone, and the eastern plain receiving and detention zone. Through MSPA and dIIC evaluation, 25 ecological source patches were identified, showing an overall spatial pattern of concentration in the southwest and dispersion in the eastern plain. Based on the composite ecological resistance surface, the MCR model, and least-cost path analysis, 45 potential ecological corridors were extracted, with a total geometric length of approximately 584.85 km.
The ecological corridor system forms a spatial structure characterized by western concentration, central convergence, and eastward extension. CFC-based corridor importance classification identified 6 high-importance corridors, 14 medium-importance corridors, and 25 low-importance corridors. Circuit theory analysis further identified 19 ecological pinch points and 28 ecological barrier points, which are mainly distributed in Dengfeng, Huiji, Xinmi, Xingyang, and related key corridor sections. The corridor width scenario analysis shows that different widths have different planning applicability.
The 50 m scenario is suitable for constrained narrow sections within urban areas, road greenbelts, limited near-water spaces, and local micro-corridor management. The 100 m scenario can be used for basic management in urban-rural transition zones and near-water corridor sections where land adjustment is difficult. The 150 m scenario is suitable for general municipal corridor sections, agricultural matrix ecological corridors, and near-water corridors with moderate implementation feasibility.
The 200 m scenario can be applied to important corridor sections, source patch edge transition zones, river confluence areas, and agricultural or suburban areas with relatively favorable land adjustment conditions. The 250 m scenario is more suitable for areas adjacent to mountain forest source patches, wider river-related corridors, and areas with low construction pressure. Overall, the 100-150 m range can be used as a general reference range for ecological corridor planning in Zhengzhou, but it should be applied differentially according to corridor type, corridor importance, water system proximity, construction land constraints, and implementation feasibility.
The proximity analysis between ecological corridors and water system elements shows that corridor length is highest within the 30-200 m distance class, indicating that water system proximity is an important condition for corridor spatial organization. At the same time, medium-and long-distance corridors also account for a certain proportion, confirming that corridor formation is jointly influenced by ecological source patch location, topography, land use background, the composite resistance surface, and corridor continuity. Based on these analyses, this study classifie
