In this study, we analyzed the domestic trends in monitoring district unit plans, focusing on both the monitoring of district unit plans in Seoul and previous domestic academic journals and theses that conducted monitoring of district unit plans. In previous studies, the changes in zones according to the district unit planning guidelines were examined, and in the monitoring of Seoul’s operational status, compliance with the district unit planning guidelines was the main focus. This research aims to extract key considerations for enhancing monitoring and efficient implementation, anticipating a contribution to the advancement of local area plan monitoring systems by domestic municipalities.
