Nowadays information society has made a big progress and consequently "the buying and selling Information Network System in the Real Estate markets" (hereinafter referred to as the "INSRS") is essential to meet the change of demand for the advanced broker's services and to cope with the international environment of the market openings. So, Korean Real Estate Brokerage Law (hereinafter referred to as the "Law") was partially amended on Dec. 27th, 1993 to reflect the Exclusive Agency Listing and INSRS and effectuated on Apr. 1st, 1994.

Subsequently the existing real estate information (or service) providers, real estate brokerage companies and a few large enterprises are in active preperation individually to enter the INSRS business. But if they act independently of others in introducing INSRS, it shall result in waste of public funds by duplicated investment, and incompatibility with others. Because of scantiness of the domestic real estate business and its incapability of introduction and utilization of systems with high functionality such as image processed information, etc.

due to lack of the state-of- the-art telecommunications technology, they cannot properly meet their client's taste, and there even have emerged certain concerns over a possibility that they, being not able to secure their competitiveness when foreign real estate corporations enter the domestic market, might end up with their agent. This thesis is composed of six parts. Part I to Part III was reviewed the characteristics of the real estate markets, the role of information in the real estate markets, the real estate brokerage systems and the important contents of the revised Law concerning the INSRS. The status of American and Japanese INSRS was reviewed in Part Ⅳ.

Also the method to establish the comprehensive real INSRS in idealistic way was sought and presented through utilization of ISDN and CO-LAN service provided by Korea Telecom in Part Ⅴ. Although Law has been amended, it is insufficient for the advancement and development of INSRS and therefore, it is recomended that the organization to standardize INSRS and assist the companies preparing the INSRS be established.
