주민참여에 의한 도시정비·계획 방법에 관한 연구 : 주민참여방법에 따른 계획·정비과제의 도출을 중심으로

주민참여를 통한 도시정비·계획 방법과 관련 과제를 연구했다.

The total environments of planning has been changed "from the government-leading to the private-leading" with the era of self-government. Many parts of the roles in public sector have been transferred to the private sector. It became the critical part in an urban development. Consequently, the planning method also needs to be changed from Top-down to Bottom-up. Moreover, both of the new planning theory and the planning process need to be set up with the changes in the total planning environments.

So, this research has been started from the perception of the meanings and the needs of the citizen participations by the planning environments resulted from the maturity of the local self-government. The main purpose of this research is proposing in making urban design issues through the diverse methods of citizen participation. This study is a first step to establish a planning methodologies through the citizen participation. the research area was selected in Yaksu, Chung-ku in Seoul.

The results of this study are as follow ; the first is to confirm the value of citizen participation which is important in the era of self-government, the second is to know that the participation level of each participant must be critical, finally the public sector should be actively participated in the urban design process.
