초록
The purposes of this study are to discuss theoretical backgrounds and legal basis for Real Estate Investment Trusts(REITs), and to establish its theoretical meaning by comparing concepts of REITs with other financial products. In this study, we examined purpose, types and investment methods of REITs through a case study on three banks which began trading REITs for the first time in Korea. We attempted to suggest solutions for problems of REITs as a financial product in terms of marketability in order to increase its possibility to continue to develop as a product in the market.
