GIS를 활용한 도서정보시스템 구축방안에 관한 연구

도서 관리·개발 의사결정을 지원하는 GIS 기반 도서정보시스템 구축 방안을 연구했다.

지금까지 GIS를 이용하여 도서와 관련된 각종 정보를 제공할 수 있는 도서정보시스템의 구축에 대한 관심과 연구는 부진한 실정에 있다. 21세기는 국가적 자원의 한계성 및 국토개발과 해양자원ㆍ해양공간을 이용한 개발, 그리고 국제외교 및 국가 안보적 차원에서의 도서개발이 더욱 활발해질 것이다. 따라서 도서지역의 각종 정보들이 다양해지고, 양도 방대해지는 점을 감안할 때, 이들 정보들을 효과적으로 저장ㆍ관리할 수 있을 뿐 만 아니라 컴퓨터 그래픽과 멀티미디어 기능을 이용한 다양한 표현 기능을 제공해 줄 수 있는 효과적인 시스템의 개발이 필요하다. 이러한 관점에서, 본 연구는 종래의 정보시스템과는 달리, 공간정보와 속성정보를 동시에 관리함으로써 정보의 정확성 및 접근성이 증진되어 업무의 능률을 향상시키고, 도서의 관리ㆍ개발에 대한 각종 의사결정 및 정책결정을 객관적으로 유도할 수 있도록, 지리정보체계를 활용한 도서정보시스템을 개발한 것이다. 도서정보시스템은 저가의 퍼스널 컴퓨터와 상용 GIS소프트웨어를 사용하고 GIS의 관련기술을 토대로 개발되었다. In the 21th century the national land development using the limit of national resources, the development using the marine resource and the marine space, island development on the level of the international diplomacy and the national security will be more vitalized. Therefore, considering the various kinds of information becomes diverse and massive quantitatively, it is necessary that we develop an effective system which not only operates the information, but also gives a function of various display using the computer graphic and the multi-media.

On this point of view, the previous information system, the Island Information System was developed by the active use of the Geographic Information System which improves the efficiency of the work by managing the space information and the property information simultaneously, and objectively induces the decision of the opinion and the policy for the management and the development of the island. Islan Information System was developed on the base of the low price personal computer, GIS software for common use, and the technology related to GIS.
