The purpose of this study is to propose a 3D cadastral boundary surveying method using low-cost fusion sensors (viDoc RTK, iPhone LiDAR, Moasure2 Pro), analyze the accuracy and cost-effec tiveness, and verify the utility of low-cost fusion sensors for 3D cadastral boundary surveying.
To achieve this, the characteristics of each fusion sensor and the fusion system (HW integration) were examined, and a verification was performed on the site of Menakgol Park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The reference survey for the accuracy of the 3D coordinates of the ca dastral boundary points obtained by the three fusion sensors was conducted using a smart drone survey (RTK drone, flight altitude 30m, GSD: 0.009m) to acquire orthophotos and digital surface models (DSM). Prior to the drone survey, GNSS RTK surveying was conducted using the in tegrated reference point (U수원33) as the base station, and 9 ground control points (GCPs) were installed around the site.
The 3D coordinate accuracy of the GCP points on the orthophoto and DSM was RMSEXY: 0.039 m, RMSEZ: 0.041 m. The accuracy of the 3D coordinate components for each fusion sensor at the cadastral boundary points around the site was as follows: for the viDoc RTK, RMSEXY (0.015 m) and RMSEZ (0.006 m) for both horizontal and vertical components, and for the viDoc RTK + iPhone LiDAR scan fusion sensor, RMSEXY (0.046 m) and RMSEZ (0.027 m), which met the regulatory tolerance (±0.050 m).
In addition, in terms of workload and cost, the vi Doc RTK + iPhone LiDAR scan fusion sensor achieved a reduction of 41.0% and 41.9% in terms of TS (2.10 PD; Person-Day, person × days) and 739 KRWm¯², respectively, compared to (1.24 PD)·429 KRWm¯², with a utility index (U) improvement of 1.50 times, from TS (36.64U) to 55.03U. Particularly, in the case of Moasure2 Pro, which allows autonomous measurements in GNSS shadow and underground spaces, the relative coordinate results were transformed into absolute coordinates using a 7-parameter Helmert + Rubber-Sheet method and compared.
The results showed RMSEXY (0.044 m) and RMSEZ (0.120 m), which are close to the general cadastral boun dary surveying results obtained using a total station (TS). Furthermore, the Moasure workflow achieved 0.90 PD and 294 KRW m⁻², reducing workload and cost by up to 57.1% and 60.1%, re spectively, relative to TS; the utility index (U) also increased by 1.58times, from 36.64 U (TS) to 57.99 U (Moasure). This indicates that when combined with high-resolution LiDAR, it has high practical application potential.
Therefore, when low-cost fusion sensors are used for cadastral surveying of small-sized plots, the utility of 3D digital transformation and 3D cadastral in formation construction can be confirmed
