서울 중구 인쇄산업지역의 도시조직을 분석해 재정비 방향을 제시한다.

The printing district in Jung-gu, Seoul, has been clustered and grew in the city center due to industrial, geographical, and institutional factors. Most areas are designated as redevelopment zones, which has not been redeveloped for a long time and made them vulnerable to users safety. In 2013, the name of the redevelopment zones were changed into “Seun Redevelopment Promotion Area” and some policies have changed. This study aims to derive elements that sustain the industrial system through analyzing urban tissues. Also, to suggest the direction of redevelopment plan that preserves the industrial ecosystem.

Zone A and Zone B, having different urban tissues and industrial environments, have been divided in order to investigate the changing process and status of the streets, blocks, and buildings. The direction of the redevelopment is considered based on the effect of physical environment on printing industrial ecosystem. In conclusion, The natural alleys allow a large number of small businesses to meet the street directly from the ground floor and they needs to be reflected architecturally inside the building. Positioning the printing companies at the lower floor allows them to maintain the clustered structure, and the externalization of passageways help them to expand the scope of cooperation.

The street should be designed as multi-layered environment, since it is the core part of the process that interacts with the entire industry. This study can be differentiated in analyzing the industrial area focusing on the composition of the urban tissues, and is meaningful in seeking the direction of redeveopment by studying the relationship between industrial ecosystem and urban tissues. 중구의 인쇄산업지역은 산업, 지리, 경제적 관점의 요인들로 인해 도심부에 집적을 이루며 성장해 왔다. 대부분의 지역이 재개발 구역에 묶여 오랜 시간 동안 정비되지 못한 채 노후화 되어 이용자의 안전에 취약하다. 2013년, '세운재정비촉진지구'로 변경되어 소규모 단위의 재정비가 계획되어 있다. 본 연구는 도시조직 분석을 통해 인쇄산업지역의 산업체계를 지탱하고 있는 요인을 도출하고 산업생태계의 파괴를 최소화하는 사업계획 수립의 방향을 제안하는 것을 목표로 한다.

해당지역은 서로 다른 도시조직과 산업 환경을 가진 A구역과, B구역으로 나뉘며 도시조직의 요소 중 가로, 필지, 건축물에 대하여 분석을 진행했다. 이를 통해 물리적 환경이 인쇄산업생태계의 관계에 근거하여 재정비 계획의 방향성에 대해 고찰했다. 결론적으로 골목길은 최대의 영세 업체들이 지상1층에서 직접적으로 접도 할 수 있게 했고 계획상에 건축적으로 반영될 필요가 있다. 그리고 인쇄업체의 저층부 입주는 집적구조를 유지 할 수 있도록 하며 통로의 외부화는 영세 업체의 협력의 범위를 확장하게 하는 요인이 된다. 마지막으로 가로는 단순한 이동통로가 아니라 산업공정 전반에 포함되어 있는 핵심적인 생산과정의 일부로 역할하고 있기 때문에 입체적 가로계획을 진행하여 작업환경을 쾌적하게 할 필요가 있다. 도시조직을 구성하는 요소에 주목하여 산업생태계의 형성과 유지의 요인을 분석한다는 점에서 본 연구는 차별성을 지니며 산업생태계와 도시조직 간의 관계를 연구함으로써 도시 재정비사업의 방향성을 모색하는데 의의가 있다.
