블록체인 기반 부동산 거래의 동향과 개선방안을 연구했다.

Blockchain technology is a technology where every participants store the data and share it by distributing the block-size data in a form of chain without centralized server, and it is extending its scope of application beyond the financial serctor including virtual money. Blockchain technology, which is characterized by decentralization, security and openness, has a wide range of applications to meet the 4th Industrial Revolution, particularly in the traditional low-tech sector, where it appears to be more applicable.

In order to apply blockchain technology to the public sector in Korea, the government selected tasks from six different areas through a pilot project by blockchain field in March 2018 and implemented pilot projects for the public sector. Among them, the block-based real estate research system pilot project (Smart Contract-based Real Estate Transaction Platform without paper) was included as to be conducted by the head of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and selected participating companies in November 2018.

Through the pilot project, the government, local governments and financial institutions, which need to take advantage of real estate information, will be able to resolve the vulnerability of paper certificates that are easy to tamper with, and establish a foundation for real estate information in real time. The ultimate goal of the project is to expand the participation of financial institutions, law firms and authorized brokers to establish integrated real estate transaction services that can range from financial transactions to real estate contracts and so on.
