This study quantitatively evaluates the publicness of dedicated parks in Seoul's apartment complexes using Space Syntax analysis. It addresses the privatization phenomenon where public parks become exclusive to residents due to poor accessibility and physical barriers. By comparing integration values across selected sites, the research finds that most parks are situated in areas less accessible than internal apartment networks, leading to spatial isolation. These results highlight the need for strategic placement to prevent parks from being relegated to marginal or internalized zones.

Ultimately, the study provides a quantitative framework to ensure donated infrastructure effectively serves the broader community rather than becoming private amenities.
