초록
The main object of a comprehensive cadastral survey of Japanese imperialism was to settle the various ownership disputes according to the Japanese civil law. This study is to find and to examine The Documents of an Investigation of Disputed lands in Changwon County (『昌原郡紛爭地審査書類』) This case was a landownership dispute among the three, the Government-General, 92 Changdun people, and Oike Tadasuke(大池忠助), a Japanese capitalist, over Chandun. The ownership of Chandun had been changed five times since 1894. Officials of Jayeo Station managed primarily the land, but the Department of the Royal Household(宮內府) and the Department of the Royal finance(內藏院) got its ownership back.
Its ownership was finally transferred to Oike. In this process, Changdun people made directly efforts to demand the return of landownership and to refuse the payment of land rent, and then they entrusted the case to Oike in 1909 in order to obtain the desired results. However, their target of struggle changed the government into Oike, because he denied the fact of their commission. In 1916, when the Provisional Land Survey Bureau recognized Oike as its proprietor, the case was closed. In the result, Changdun people were robbed of their land without any compensation by the offensive of Japanese imperialism and Japanese capitalists which were equipped with a modern law.
