3차원 디지털 지적정보의 구축 방안을 연구했다.

In the information age of the 21st century, nations, agencies and the entire society require various information on the world where we are living, and the demand for it is ever increasing. For the last century, the cadastral system of Korea focused on its effort to protect the private land ownership and effective management of the country. This cadastral system was administered putting emphasis on the 2-dimensional plane survey which registered and publicized the physical condition of land lots.

Due to the drastic growth of population resulting from industrialization and urbanization and population concentration to cities and development of architecture, the method of land utilization is changing from planar to 3-dimensional way. Therefore, the need for a new 3-dimensional cadastral system has emerged which can support the effective use of not only overground but also underground spaces as the scope of land utilization expands from ground surface to underground. The advanced countries have already started a policy-based support and intensive investment regarding the new system from a government level.

In Korea, however, the study on introduction of 3-dimensional cadastral system is still in an initial stage. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose a new 3-dimensional cadastral system implementation plan by defining the ubiquitous era, spatial technology and 3-D cadastral concept through analyzing the necessity for introducing 3-dimensional cadastral and the current state of the domestic/overseas 3-D cadastral system.
